Rosetta Technologies Releases Embedded Security for Color MICR Check Printing Applications

The industry’s first five-color, secure, production-class magnetic ink character recognition check printer, the Pro C7210XM, is the most advanced. The Pro C7210XM eliminates the need for inventory and purchase and provides pre-printed checks stocks and forms that can be used to open multiple accounts. The Pro C7210XM 5-color, high-resolution digital press prints up to 95 pages per minute on safety paper. This printer reliably prints thousands of full-color checks each month. The Pro C7210XM eliminates inventory, purchase, and security of pre-printed checks stocks and forms for multiple accounts. For undeniable authenticity, the fifth color embeds watermarks or invisible security elements to protect negotiable documents.

The Pro C7210XM product is the result of decades-long partnerships with Ricoh. The Pro C7210XM combines Rosetta Technologies’ best-in-class ProMark™ MICR toner, E-13B and CMC-7 MICR fonts. Add CheckStream Color Plus™ software and print checks for multiple accounts, choosing from a library of hundreds of different digital check formats and colors. Rosetta guarantees that checks printed with its MICR toner on the Pro C7210XM and MICR fonts will meet or exceed ANSI/ABA industry standards for signal strength and character sharpness as well as read rates.

This invisible red toner can only be seen under ultraviolet lighting, ensuring document legitimacy. CheckStream also prints all fixed and variable check elements including the colored background, date and amount, payor and payee information, MICR line, authorized signature, the endorsement side, and embeds invisible security features – onto blank white safety paper in one pass.
