Suwannee Hulaween Reveals 2023 Spirit Lake Immersive Art Experiences [Photos]
For the first time in the festival’s ten-year history, organizers for Suwannee Hulaween Spirit Lake will be a hub for immersive art in the future. Hulaween will return to The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL October 26th–29th.
The Hula team is giving fans a preview of the art installations at Spirit Lake. This year, the Hula team wants to give them a sneak peek before they enter the gates. In honor of the festival’s tenth anniversary in 2023, Hulaween has upped the ante with ten new art installations.
Spirit Lake is hailed as a top immersive art experience at a U.S. music festival. Artists from all over the world work in various mediums, from sculptors and painters to metalworkers and thespians. Together, they transform the area surrounding Spirit Lake’s four stages into a world of otherworldliness.
Spirit Lake’s artistic community returns this year under the direction of a new creative director Justin Bolognino, cofounder and CEO of an experimental design company META (which has worked on projects with Phish Skrillex Porter Robinson and more). Hulaween is bringing back some of the most popular installations from previous years, including: Incendia Stage concept Cory Glenn Who literally lights up the floor with a illuminating technique of fire-capturing. Suwannee Hulaween shares 2023 schedule
Hulaween, in addition to these classics will also introduce ten brand new art installations by 2023. Tyer Schrader Hula will transport you to The Cosmic PortalThe sculpture is a double-sided interactive LED wooden sculpture, with 5,000 LEDs one side, and projection mapping the other. The installation can detect electrical vibrations in plants and convert them into audiovisual experiences.
Essi Rhodes‘ installation dubbed Chatterpillars The caterpillar will bring back a sense of exuberance and joy as attendees talk to their friends or strangers on the other end. Subloominal & Voxeleyes Fans will be immersed in nature by the bioluminescent BioshroomCreated by scanning real mushrooms in 3D and digitally sculpting via 3D printer.

Hulaween, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, will also feature a stellar lineup of musicians.
